LED Newsletter – October 25th – 29th

Barev!  What an interesting and fun filled week!  Once again our lessons have been based on the cosmic world of the Elementary classroom.  Our lessons have ranged from “The Black Strip” (an impressionistic lesson illustrating how long humans have been on Earth compared to the age of the Earth itself), “Suffixes and Prefixes”, “Handwriting” (using calligraphy pens and ink), to various art projects, including work with pastels and cabin crafts/ handwork with crocheting.  Timeline and country/ culture research work is continuing and coming along in very interesting ways!  We are all learning a lot!

On Wednesday, we had a special treat with Mr. Guy coming in to give a lecture on ‘Viruses’. On Thursday we enjoyed pumpkin carving.   Shopping, cooking, and baking work is continuing and is very popular with everyone- especially during snack time!  J

Recognition:

We would like to offer a sincere and hearty thank you to Aidan Hew’s family for helping to supply our lab with a great hair dryer and to Connor Child’s family for giving us their pumpkin to carve.  Thank you!
