We have made special boat pictures from different shapes and decorated some colourful 3-D aeroplanes.

We even had a special visit from a Police Officer. We loved looking at his smart uniform and he brought his motorbike with him – those of us who were brave enough even had a go at sitting on it!

November kicked off with some super smart looking toddlers all ready for their first school photo!  Everybody looked really cute!

We have been learning all about animals and most of us are able to name different types of animals – and even better at making animal noises!

We got creative with some sparkling sea life and glittery butterflies, and we used cotton wool to make some woolly sheep!

The toddlers have been enjoying the cooler weather and are very excited to explore the ‘big’ playground!

We looking forward to getting festive in December, and are busy practicing for the Holiday Concert on December 10th.

We continue to practice keeping our classroom tidy and putting our work away when we are finished.

The children are having a brilliant time in P.E class with Miss Karen and are improving their physical skills such as balancing, jumping and throwing.

We are looking forward to November, and our new theme in the Toddler classroom is all about animals. In Music we will be busy in practicing our Winter holiday songs.

We have had five fabulous weeks in the Toddler Classroom, and we are happy to say that all of our little ones have settled in quite nicely. They have been busy, little bees exploring their new environment and washing their hands over and over and over again

September has been filled with Introductions to our Montessori Work Cycle, making new friends and nose blowing!  We also began Music Classes with Miss Ali and Physical Education with Miss Karen this month.

A BIG thank you to Miss Helene who assisted us during the month of September.  She will be missed, but we are also excited to welcome Miss Sarah who will be joining ‘Team Toddler’ for the remainder of the year.

Miss Manuela , Miss Karen and Miss Sarah look forward to a wonderful and fun-filled new year with all of our toddlers!

We hope you had a lovely summer and are looking forward to a very exciting year for you and your Toddler.  We have been busy preparing the classroom and are thrilled to meet your little ones very soon.  

A few friendly reminders about next week:

-          The first day of school for Anya, Bronwen, Imogen, Max, Tyler and Camila will be this Monday, August 29^th .  Although they will not attend on Tuesday or Wednesday, all children will join us for school on Thursday and Friday for a Half Day. 

-          The first day of school for Aidan, Flinn, Jemma, and Quinn will be on Tuesday, August 30^th. Although they will not attend on Wednesday, all children will join us for school on Thursday and Friday for a Half Day.  . 

-          The first day of school for Aydia, Ethan, Jack, Kayla and Manon will be on Wednesday, August 31^st as well as Thursday and Friday for a Half Day.   

-          The drop off time for school is between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.   The first week is Half Days for all children, so please make sure that your Toddler is picked up between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm.   Starting on Monday, September 5^th, all children  attending Full Days will need to be picked up between 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm.

 On your son or daughter’s first day of school, please remember to bring the following items:

-          A nutritious lunch including an ice pack

-          3 changes of clothes including socks

-          2 outdoor hats

-          1 bottle of sunscreen

-          A large supply of Baby Wipes including plastic container

-          A supply of diapers or underwear

-          If your child will be napping , a bottom/fitted sheet and a blanket.

It has been an amazing year in the Toddler Classroom and we are so sad to see so many of our little ones move on. We have watched them grow and develop into children who are learning to put their own shoes on, pour their own water and potty train!

We know they will have a wonderful experience in Casa and meet many new friends. We wish them well on their new journey.

This month our Toddlers will also begin their transition into the Casa classes. They will be visiting both Casa 1 and Casa 2,  meeting new friends and teachers, and exploring the new environment in preparation for their big move in September!

This month in the Toddler Classroom we will be Discovering the long ago world of Dinosaurs. T-rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and Diplodocus are our favorites. We will be learning all about their physical characteristics as well as eating habits through many fun and colorful books and picture cards. We also will be constructing and painting a paper mache Volcano and watching it erupt in front of our very own wee eyes!

As we hop our way to Easter, we have many special story tapes, gluing projects and goodies to get to get to.

We are looking forward to a fantastic Dino and Easter fun-filled April!!
