Casa-Grade 6 French in November

Bonjour tout le monde!

November has proven to be another busy month in the French classroom. In Casa, students have been learning vocabulary associated with the family and the house. They have also just begun a unit on pets.

In Grade 1 and 2, students have been busy working on units about clothing and foods using interactive materials.

The Grade 3 class have been busy completing their unit on greetings, introducing themselves, giving their opinions and counting. The students have been involved in many oral presentations and skits.

In Grade 4, students have completed their unit on the family and things in their school bag. They have reviewed numbers and have participated in an oral reading of a Cinderella story.

The Grade 5 students have been busy completing their unit in which they learned how to say where and when they were born. They were also introduced to numbers 70-100 and read about life in Quebec.

In Grade 6 students have also finished their unit of study. They have been busy learning places in town and giving and receiving directions. They also read about the French-speaking country of Martinique.

In December, all students will be involved in various Christmas activities.
