¡Bienvenidos a South America!

We continue our studies of South America in February, and we will review commonalities and differences between this extraordinary continent and the Cayman Islands, including cultures, land and water forms, biomes, and more.  When we wrap up South America, we look forward to inviting all parents to join us for a “potluck” South American luncheon.  Our goal is to host this wonderful event by the end of February and we will send details as the date nears.  The students will have booklets on their South American studies ready to share and traditional South American foods will be sampled, courtesy of volunteer parent chefs.  The students treasure this time together and we hope all of our parents will be able to attend.

Additionally, students have begun presenting their completed projects to their classmates.  These are enjoyable times for all as the students have opportunities to learn about topics in greater depth and the presenters build confidence in their public speaking skills and with sharing knowledge.
