On to North America!

Our field trip to the Turtle Farm was enlightening.  The students learned the importance of turtling to early Caymanians, the importance of preservation efforts today, and they were able to practice catching turtles.  They also enjoyed a close look at nurse sharks, a huge barracuda, and a crocodile.

We head into April with the anticipation of discovering the many unique features, animals, plants and cultures of North America.  The students will share a special focus on plant roots, amphibians and mollusks.  Be ready to enjoy their knowledge next time you visit a beach or tide pool.

We are also busily preparing for a live poetry recitation.  The students will be working hard during school hours to memorize the words, inflections and gestures for their group poems.  We appreciate any rehearsal support you can provide at home.
