Making ‘May’mories in Casa:
This May, the momentum in Casa was certainly not winding down in conjunction with the approach of the end of the school year. We remained as busy as ever – exploring our monthly theme of Physical Development and Fitness, studying the exotic and creature-filled continent of Africa, and even embarking on an underwater adventure on a submarine!
We would like to express another WHALE-SIZED THANK YOU to the Parent’s Guild for treating us to our field trip on the Atlantis Submarine. The children absolutely loved the experience and are still comparing notes on all of the diverse marine life they spotted, including one boat captain in a scuba suit with a bag of food, being pursued by hundreds of hungry little fish!
Throughout the month, we also saw the signs of exciting changes on the horizon, as our Kindergartens each embraced the opportunity to visit the Lower Elementary classrooms, and the graduating Toddlers came to spend a few mornings in the Casa classrooms.
June will be another jam-packed month as we prepare for our Kindergarten graduation and end of the year school concert, and do a general review with our Casa students of the multitude of interesting things we have studied this year.
We definitely made the most of every day in May!
