A Strong Start with Learning Support

The Learning Support program at MBTS offers many students the opportunity to explore and develop their inherent, unique strengths, as well as build up and hone essential skills for learning.

It has been a busy month, starting with students exploring their goals and expressing what makes them shine through personal crests proudly displayed in the school “cottage”. Math students came in first place while reviewing the concept of ordinal numbers in engaging and energetic ways, such as a bean bag toss! Complementary practice work in the THRASS spelling program helped students discover a trick to decide which /k/ sound to use: They asked themselves, “Is it a cat or a kite?”

These are just a few examples of the unique and effective pathways to learning that are being actively formed each day in the Learning Support program.
