The Magic of Movement

As we edge closer to the summer holidays, we move onto our final unit in P.E.: Movement.

This unit touches on the basics of sports acrobatics, rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics and dance. Exposure to these sorts offers so many benefits to both boys and girls: core strength, balance and grace, body control, discipline and rhythm, to name just a few. The children work individually, in pairs, and as groups during the unit, which also develops essential teamwork and communication skills.

Children in all of the grades seem to truly enjoy exploring movement in this context, as they get to use their imaginations and bodies to express themselves.
