A Year to Remember
The Upper Elementary Class of 2019/2020 has been one to remember.
Thirty-six students came together in September to support and encourage one another during our time in the classroom. In the first term, the students took part in Biome projects, created an assembly pertaining to Human Rights, and the Grade 6 students organized fundraisers for their trip to MMUN. In the second term, the students enjoyed exploring drama and literature through their Shakespeare studies. This inspired the students to produce an assembly on the theme of “Love”.
Together, we experienced the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in January and the epidemic of COVID-19. Your response and adaptation to these events have been quite remarkable. You are all to be applauded for your grace, determination and effort as we all adjusted to a Remote Learning platform. Your creativity and perseverance were especially evident in this unprecedented situation.
The year 2020 will surely be remembered for its extraordinary events. Even more importantly, we will all fondly remember how each one of you wholeheartedly embraced these phenomena, and determinedly thrived.
In hindsight, 2020 will clearly be a year to remember!
