A Most Musical and Magical Time of the Year!
The end of the first term is an especially busy – but equally magical – time in Music, with the performance of the MBTS Holiday Concert and the choir’s participation in the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
In keeping with the school’s annual tradition, our MBTS choir performed at the Rotary Christmas Tree Lighting. The students once again did an exemplary job singing “Calypso Navidad” and representing their school. It was such a pleasure to be performing in our community alongside other schools and performers.
Of course, December would not be complete without our Holiday Concert! This year’s show had “Tinseltown” as its guiding theme, and several songs from beloved holiday films such as “Polar Express” and “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” were mixed in with other Christmas classics. Audience members even got the chance to join in the fun by singing or clapping along to some songs!
The students worked extremely hard and did a wonderful job in all of their performances. There was a wide variety of musical styles showcased throughout, and the students really enjoyed sharing their talents with the audience. Students in grades 4-6 once again took on the roles of emcees and wrote their spoken parts themselves.
We are so proud of what the children have achieved, and are deeply grateful that we could all enjoy Music together this holiday season. On behalf of all of the teachers and staff at MBTS, I would like to thank all of the students and their families. Thank you as well to the MBTS Parents’ Guild, who sponsored the filming of the concert this year. The professionally-recorded video was shared via an unlisted link with all parents through the December issue of the Crest & Current.
Happy Holidays!
