Making Promises to Mother Earth
The students in the Lower Elementary Downstairs class looked deep inside their hearts on Earth Day to make and write promises to Mother Earth that they could – and would – commit to keeping. They all enjoyed creating their own planet Earths using recyclable tissue paper, and writing their promises on hearts to show their love for our one and only home. Here are some of the promises our students made:
“I promise to respect Mother nature.”
“I promise I will be kind to people.”
“I promise to pick up garbage every day.”
“I promise to recycle everything I use.”
“I promise to clean you up.”
“I promise I will not litter.”
“I promise will do my best to keep you clean, Earth.”
“I promise I will go on beach clean-ups.”
“I promise to not pollute.”
” I promise to reuse waste.”
” I promise I will plant more.”
” I promise to recycle everything I can.”
” I promise to use stuff rather than throwing it away.”
“I promise to never litter and instead recycle.”
“I promise to respect Mother Nature.”
“I will never make a mess.”
“I promise to take good, good care of the Earth.”
“I promise to never litter ever again.”
“I promise I will clean up the planet.”
“I promise I will pack litter-less lunches.”
