A Year of Making Music Together

What a fantastic year we have had, being able to be together and even perform together! Truly, we have been so fortunate here in Cayman.

The students have worked really hard this year creating music together, composing music, learning instruments, and putting on performances. Many students have even been involved in musical activities outside of school too, such as recitals, dance performances, musicals including “Moana” and “Matilda,” and performing in the Cayman Youth Choir concerts. It is wonderful that our children have so many opportunities to enjoy and deepen their love of music in so many different ways.

In school, we have been busy with performances too. Students performed at our annual Winter Holiday Concert, and the choir took part in the Rotary Tree Lighting. In February, students enjoyed teaching and dancing with their family members at our first Family Folk Dance! Then, in March there was the NCFA, involving instrumental and vocal performances, and of course, the Spring Concert. Students have also performed for each other in class, enjoying each other’s unique compositions, or hearing music that students have been learning outside of the classroom.

It is always so wonderful to share the joy of music making with each other, as it brings us all together. I can’t wait for us to continue exploring and making music together.
