Leading and Learning Together in Casa Two

How is the school year almost over? Even with some ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, we have had so much fun in our wonderful Casa Two classroom over this school year! New friendships have been made and virtues have been practiced, along with the amazing amount of learning that has taken place! Some friends learnt their sounds, some friends got their first readers, and some friends learnt numbers and how to do mathematical equations.

The Kinders have had an awesome final year in the Casa Program, not only because of what they have achieved academically but also because they have become the greatest mentors: eager to give lessons, help others, and share their knowledge. Leadership is certainly not limited by age, with some 2nd years and 1st year students also eagerly giving lessons to their peers. These natural opportunities for leadership, inspiration and collaboration are why Montessori is so fabulous; the three-year age grouping gives everyone the opportunity to be a teacher or mentor to someone. Everyone is able to do something well and help someone, no matter their age.

Although we are sad that the school year is over, we know that everyone is looking forward to a break and a change of scenery. For those who are leaving our classroom, we wish you well and will hold precious memories of all the great times we shared together! For those who are returning in August, we look forward to welcoming our new Kindergartners and 2nd years, and cannot wait to see you help our new 1st years with kindness, grace and courtesy.

Have an awesome summer, everyone! Keep growing your mind by discovering new things! We will miss you but look forward to seeing you after you grow over the summer!
