Helping Hands & Kindness Abound in Casa 2
As we begin the new school year and come together as a community, we have been putting great energy and emphasis on our virtue of the month – kindness! Many spontaneous acts of kindness, both big and small, have been observed throughout the month, and it has been so impressive to see all the ways the children have been helping each other navigate these first weeks of school. The children take great pride in being part of a community, and in supporting their friends and classmates. We acknowledge these moments of kindness, knowing these interactions foster a greater sense of well-being, as well as feelings of belonging within a community. It feels good to help others!

When discussing kindness, and the things they have seen others do that they consider to be kind, the children came up with many excellent examples including; helping people up when they trip and fall, offering Band-Aids for small scrapes, giving hugs when someone is teary-eyed, taking turns, sharing toys, giving kind reminders about rules and routines, helping others when they are feeling challenged, speaking quietly when someone is resting, and donating food/clothing/toys to families in need, just to name a few.
We will continue to appreciate and celebrate the Casa 2 community as they come together to support, encourage, and cheer each other on throughout the year!
