Dancing Through December
December in Upper Elementary was a month full of joy, creativity, and dancing! Last Friday, the highly anticipated Christmas Dance took place at the Prospect Youth Center on the seaside. The Grade 6 students planned and organized this event in an effort to raise money for their MMUN trip to New York in March!
Besides Christmas tunes, the students enjoyed a plethora of fun activities, including face-painting, games, and Christmas crafts. The students truly thought of everything when it came to holiday merriment!
Students who attended the dance would have recognized a familiar face, as Grade 6 student Bodhi took to the DJ booth, spinning festive party tunes and creating and excellent atmosphere.

Upper Elementary expresses their gratitude to the students who attended and families who contributed to the fundraiser. The event was a huge success, raising approximately CI $1,250. A special thanks goes to Foster’s and Hurley’s, our island supermarkets who generously donated refreshments to the event. In addition, dance attendees were able to enjoy delicious Christmas cookies made by MMUN Students and tasty gingerbread men donated by the Collins family.
Stay tuned as Grade 6 continues to gear up for their trip to New York. Thank you to all who supported the event!
