Joyful Noise in Music Class
‘Tis the season to be jolly! The month of December kicked off with a joyful and momentous event–the whole school holiday concert. Our MBTS students had the opportunity to showcase all that they had been working on this term on stage at the ARC in Camana Bay. They certainly put on a show!
Lessons have been filled with holiday spirit throughout the school. Leading up to the concert, all of the grades worked hard on perfecting their parts for the concert. This included the music of course, but also choreography and even decorations for the show itself. It was all hands on deck during the school rehearsals and set up.
Since the show has passed the students have been able to explore more festive music through singing, playing, and even composing their own Christmas songs. Traditional hymns like ‘We Three Kings’ and ‘Oh Come All Ye Faithful’ have filled the air in the Music class room over the past few weeks. Whilst more modern pop Christmas classics like Justin Bieber’s ‘Mistletoe’ and Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’ have been arranged for glockenspiel, boom whackers and ukuleles for all grades to enjoy.
