Spreading Love in Kids CARE
The C.A.R.E in the Upper Elementary club Kids CARE is an acronym for Community Awareness and Respecting the Environment. Throughout the year the students plan and participate in various activities focusing on these two main aspects; Community and Environment. For the month of February, they voted to do a community project with a focus on spreading the love for Valentine’s Day.

Great fun was had by all as the Kids CARE volunteers baked sprinkled sugar cookies. Afterward, the cookies were packed and cards were created to accompany them. Some of the children enthusiastically agreed to deliver the cookie parcels to well-deserving community members, to express gratitude and love for all they do.
Our hearts were warmed to hear about deliveries to sports coaches, music teachers, and volunteer workers. Thank you so much to all the parents who assisted with the deliveries.
The project was a great success and the children mentioned that they enjoyed doing something kind for someone else, confirming that sometimes giving is better than receiving.
