LED’s Year of Discovery, Imagination, and Joy!

As we close another vibrant school year at MBTS, the LED class reflects on a joyful journey filled with creativity, curiosity, and community.
From the very start, our classroom buzzed with hands-on learning and imaginative projects. A highlight was our geology exploration—smashing open geodes to discover glittering crystals inside! That excitement grew into a real-life adventure as we visited the stunning Crystal Caves, connecting our classroom learning to the wonders of nature.

In June, we celebrated our final virtue of the year: Creativity. This was evident in every corner of the classroom—from colorful art to original student-led projects and presentations. Our learners confidently shared their knowledge with classmates, using their voices and visuals to express big ideas in unique ways.

Food-inspired fun was also on the menu this year! Students blended smoothies, built delicious nut-free PB&J sandwiches, and even whipped up single mug cakes—all while learning about measurements, sequence, and making mindful, healthy choices. Another highlight were our homemade Father’s Day spice jars—each one uniquely crafted with care, scent, and spice to warm every dad’s heart.

We also tapped into our artistic sides by crafting cardboard cameras and decorating sprinkled doughnuts—turning everyday materials into delightful creations. Our pen pal letters brought joy as we practiced writing and built meaningful connections with students far away.
Sports were another bright spot. From the fast-paced fun of tag rugby to diving into swimming lessons, our class showed teamwork, resilience, and plenty of school spirit.
When asked about their favorite memories, students eagerly shared: “Smashing geodes was so cool!”, “I liked making smoothies and drinking them after!”, and “My presentation was a little scary, but fun!”
In LED, creativity isn’t just an activity—it’s how we learn, grow, and connect. This year was filled with imagination, collaboration, and discovery. We are so proud of our students and can’t wait to see what adventures await them next year.
Here’s to a wonderful year—and an even brighter one ahead!
