Reflecting on a Wonderful School Year: Highlights from Our Classroom
As the year comes to a close, we reflect on the incredible memories created in our classroom. This year has been filled with laughter, love, and a passion for learning. Our creativity has blossomed, and every day has brought new moments of joy and wonder. We reflected on our favorite experiences, and the students shared their best moments of the year!

One of the standout experiences was our trip to Miss Lassie’s Mind’s Eye, which, according to Andi, “was so much fun!” Gianlucca also loved this special memory, adding, “My favorite moment this year was that during the Mind’s Eye field trip, I got goosebumps.”
Another highlight was the visit to the turtle center. Chloe recalled, “My favorite moment of the year was when we went to the Turtle Center because we got to see the turtles and pet some of them.” This experience not only allowed us to learn about Cayman’s endangered species and marine life, but also created lasting memories together.

Zuri reflected on another of the year’s field trips:
“Our trip to the Cayman Crystal Caves was cool because the crystals were so beautiful,” and Olivia added, “We learnt about how the stalactites and stalagmites took millions of years to form.”.
Our classroom activities also sparked joy and excitement. Crystal mining was particularly popular, with Caitlin stating, “My favorite time was mining the crystals! Finding them in the field was really fun.”. This hands-on activity encouraged exploration and discovery.

Many students enjoyed our hands-on activities, as Alice shared, “The best moment was when we were making fossils out of clay for the Great Lesson.”. The volcanic experiment was another favorite, with Grace sharing, “I loved doing the volcano experiment for the Great Lesson.”. This hands-on approach to science sparked curiosity and enthusiasm.
The holiday season brought even more joy, especially during Christmas. Kego reflected, “Christmas was my favorite time of year when we did the decorations, and we estimated how many baubles were in the tub.”. The cheekiness of our elf, who dressed up as a taco on the Christmas tree, was also a highlight, described by Noah as “the funniest moment of the year!”.

Our spelling bee provided an opportunity for fun and camaraderie, despite the competitive spirit. “Going to the spelling bee was so much fun even though we lost. It was so fun because we got to chill with Ms. Andrea!”, said one enthusiastic participant, O’rion.

A key element of our year was building relationships, as Kai fondly recalled, “My favorite moment was when I came into this classroom, and everyone was very kind to me.”. Getting to know each other better this year has fostered a supportive classroom environment.

Sports Day was also a memorable event, with Rosie expressing, “My favorite moment was doing Sports Day with Alice!”. The spirit of teamwork and friendly competition made it a day to remember for many.
As we look back on the year, we celebrate all of these precious moments we have experienced together, and the growth and friendships that have flourished within our classroom community. Our students have thrived, and we look forward to creating even more wonderful memories in the future!
